SOLANGE MERCH

This small merch collection was inspired by the American singer Solange and her critically acclaimed album A Seat At The Table. I challenged myself to create items that could be sold in her shop; like t-shirts, prints and various accessories. The designs were intended to visually reflect the warmth of funk and playful repetition in her music.

Pinterest boards serve as a visual tool to assist me in creating moodboards. This board contains: stills from her music videos, photography from her live performances, words of affirmations that are aligned with her brand and examples of successful merch design.

  • The typeface Proxima Nova Bold was chosen for its minimalistic style and legibility. Then I created a mandala-like design using Solange's name.
